The Crafted City

Contemporary Applied Arts, London, UK 2015

Contemporary Applied Arts was delighted to be a partner in the inaugural London Craft Week. Their contribution was The Crafted City project, a programme of informative and interactive events designed to demonstrate excellence in craftsmanship and celebrate the role of making... set in a specially-crafted pavilion designed by Allies and Morrison adjacent to the CAA gallery. The walls were decorated with specially designed tiles by Daphne Carnegy produced by Johnson Tiles. 

 

It was furnished with new work commissioned by CAA from its members: Dylan Bowen,  Robert Cooper, John Creed, Stewart Hearn, Michelle House, Ray Key, Alex MacDonald, Kate Maestri, Simon Moore, Sue Paraskeva, Michael Ruh and Helen Slater. 

 

The project was funded by Arts Council England.
