The Oliver Sears Gallery returned to London’s Fitzroy Sq. in October 2106, bringing a carefully curated selection of contemporary Irish and International art. What set this year’s In Residence apart from last year's was the breadth of art and artists on show over four floors. Whereas Curator Brian Kennedy focused exclusively on Irish and Irish based artists for the inaugural London show, this time he included works by seminal names that illustrate artistic context.

 

Luminaries from the international art world such as Pablo Picasso, Diane Arbus, Uta Barth, Grayson Perry, David Hockney, Jenny Holzer, Alex Katz, Anselm Kiefer, and Andy Warhol were juxtaposed by Kennedy to sit alongside contemporary Irish greats.
